The sound on this one is so incredible, I just started smiling when the instruments started coming in on Square One. Wish I was stuck in Square One forever...
-
After almost 20 years I finally get to hold the very album that brought me to Coldplay in my hands on the “big” format. And it’s loud and clear with well defined instruments and pretty much zero noise, all packed in a nice gatefold. Just wonderful 🥹👾

This is one of the best sounding records in my collection. You feel like you’re in the studio with the band.

Edited one year agoSuperb pressing and artwork. Mastering is great, and the recording has a wide soundstage This copy is all you will ever need.
-
I previously had the original UK slipcase version, in of packaging it is surely great but the pressing didn't come through at all...
This, on the other hand sounds amazing! and the simple gatefold with the sleeves serve the album wonderfully (I couldn't care less about the poster & the slipcase)
To my surprise, I grabbed this while it was on sale on Amazon US for 19.8$ (even though it was an import) - couldn't be happier! -

X&Y is a certain classic. While Parachutes and Rush of Blood showed massive growth of the band and are excellent albums in their own right, X&Y was a substantial leap forward. While the previous records were more raw, the production values on X&Y were a clear step above, and the songwriting more refined and developed. This release presents the album with dynamics and an almost 3D like soundscape that envelopes the listener, and is a marked improvement from the already well-done CD version. Even if you have heard this album dozens of times already, you need to hear in on vinyl.
