Any particular reason that this didn't chart well in the US? Made it #113 here, so ot was definitely on the radar, just no pop success. I would say it's due to it being on a small indie dance label, but Magic Carpet Ride on the same label was able to make the Hot 100. Had the 10", the 12", and CDM releases like Magic Carpet Ride. Maybe it was distribution issues?

The track that ended the Spice Girls run of 6 UK number one singles in a row. ‘It’s Like That’ crashed straight into the top spot on Sunday 22nd March 1998 and outsold ‘Stop’ by the Spice Girls by a margin of almost 2–1 that week. It spent 6 weeks at number 1 and some of those versus will stick in our memory for a lifetime.

The "Radio Edit" on this promo CD is a slightly different mix (not just an edit) that has louder vocals. It also contains the portion with the sampled vocal "the krush groovin,' the body movin,'" which is found in the longer club mixes.

Just to comment my former reviewer: "AskeladdenBlack : Didn't this track open a can of worms which keep on giving." ... So true, a can of worms holds about 200 sticky ones, just make sure you buy the "one" that matters :):) ... 199 crap followers don't make this one bad, it´s actually quite good :):) ... I have the original "DMC" 12", but when it comes to actually playing this, I always go for this soggy remixxx :) .... Perfect end of the nighter with a lot of laughs // Tommy
