This is truly the last KMFDM album. What followed after this, is not even worth mentioning. Adios is a perfect goodbye album from a once great band. -

Great later effort by the K, hell ... The track 'Witness' alone adds a marvelous and hypnotic variation of familiar extra-terrestrial themes to the on-going collection of songs about UFOs ninAHAgen has been doing for well over 40 years now, and quite a distinctly different tone and vibe this track is in comparison to her many other, far less dark and threatening flying saucer ditties...KMFDM completely and fully reinvigorates the punk diva's association with other popular "alternative" artists. In the U S..her very consistent output remains largely either overlooked or is also intentionally maligned, disregarded and even ignored outright by some audiences who find her act, talent, look and mental status too far flung from the general consensus, with some haters even going so far as to claim that ninAHAgen is nothing more than a dumb joke within the industry! She always deserves a class act like these guys, extending a welcoming invite to them in the t creation of an extended piece like 'Witness', in which her interests and creative sparks are encouraged to express and shine, just as everyone involved in this interesting and rockin' song has achieved together, as evidenced by just listening to this track! Highly creative and highly recommend listening!! -

Despite some here and elsewhere saying this album was when the band were running out of steam, when divorced from the context of the very strong release that came before, Adios is still a very good album. There's a sort of burnt-out charm to it, like on Sycophant's sweaty dub palpitations and Today's airy morning-after laments. Elsewhere, Full Worm Garden is a memorably weird Ogre feature, DIY is a bombastic KMFDM-by-numbers throb, and while a lot of the other tracks have a bummed out nihilism, Adios remains an essential (if odd) entry into their discography. -

KMFDM's tenth studio effort, and a scraping of the bottom of an amazing career sadly. Where Symbols lacked, that goes double for Adios. Now instead of two big singles and a collection of random songs, you have one big single and a collection of random songs. This is still a good album, but if you listen closely it feels like KMFDM 2.0 really started here (Esch and Gunter had minimal at best participation on this album, this one could have been the original KMFDM vs. SKOLD). While Tim Skold is an incredible musician, and added to the tracks he was on with symbols, here it just feels like he's cluttering up what KMFDM had going on prior to his entrance. Though "D.I.Y" is a KMFDM classic track as worthy as any other single in their catalog, so many of the other tracks on the album are forgettable. As hard as it is to go into how every single track is worth listening to on the Nihil and Xtort is about equal as to how difficult it is to bother mentioning much on most of Adios. The Major Label, non-KMFDM, MDFMK release makes for a much more interesting and entertaining listen than Adios does. Also "A-Go-Go" (A B-Sides and rarities collection) and "Retro" (A greatest hits collection) are worth picking up as well, especially A-Go-Go as it includes some of the original Money demos and song-quality wise almost stands up to the Nihil/Xtort era. The only really important thing about this album was it was the last of the original KMFDM career, but If this was KMFDM trying to say goodbye, sometimes goodbyes are better left unsaid.
