My copy is really clean. No scratches, pops or clicks. Actually I’m pretty pleased with this one. It’s true that the mix and mastering could be better. But personally I find this one sounds better than on digital formats. The original mix is kind of lofi as well. I do find the vinyl offers a bit more dynamics than the streaming versions. To compare with their debut pressing of “More Than Any Other Day” that I also own, this is better quality. -

Excellent alternative rock..But again, why does it have to sound so shitty!!!? Constellation again puts out good music, but not even worth it to buy a vinyl copy because their recording/sound mastering is so bad. I guess it would play fine on any cheap mp3 player, or streaming service, but when you buy a vinyl copy, you expect better than this. There are too many independent labels out there satisfied with the "norm" of the industry: pushing levels to the max and compressing the hell out of the music...And they wonder why people are going deaf?! As independent labels, they should strive to do something different and better than what the major labels are doing...With the "return" of vinyl, there is no reason we should accept the malpractice started by Motown in the 70's and perfected by the major record labels when the CD came to market. Just to think that low budget recordings made in the 70's sound better than this...Just compare the reissue of "the Modern Lovers" with this one and you'll understand. For further information or to educate yourselves about what i am writing about here, see "The dynamic range database" and "the war against Loudness". Thank you.
