This is brilliant pressing. Loud, clear, powerful. Very impressed with it. -

There is a version with a matt cover and thin inlay (Paperquality is coated) and one with a glossy cover and thicker inlay (uncoated) -

Boom. Quo at their heaviest? Top pressing and nice copies still cheap. -

There's definately another UK Version which I own having a mild embossed gold colored two star button (vertikal) on top right front cover and released with swirl labels (huge side A and small with tracklist side B). Matrix Side A is (stamped) 9102001 1 Y//3 420 05 12 (etched) BILBO. Matrix Side B is (stamped) 6360106 2 Y//2 420 0 110 (etched) MELS!. Presumable an 80's reissue. I've added this as a version a few years ago but one of the "wiser" s deleted it claiming it's similar to the Italian version which is bullshit 'cause I own the Italian version as well. Anybody knows or has this as well? -

I’ve heard this album many times on CD. I recently bought a vinyl copy, with the insert (and a vertigo swirl inner sleeve?) to complete my 70s Quo vinyl collection, at a local record store for the princely sum of £3.00!! What a bargain! This is an absolute standout classic heavy rock album and a great pressing. I would recommend this as a starting point for anyone who wants to get into Quo! -

Does anyone know a matrix that ends with this : 1Y//1▽420 0 13 34
The number(ONE) 13 34 is set very deep in vinyl. -

If you wonder what the fuss was ever about when people talk about the Quo, well this is the middle album of a triumvirate beginning with Hello the previous year and On The Level coming in 1975. But this one is the heaviest, the loudest and the one with Alan Lancaster together with Rick Parfitt taking most of the vocal and song writing duties. Boy you can tell who was the rocker in Quo, it wasn't Rossi!! His usual vocal nasal style is present on the perfunctory single Break the Rules, which does stand out like a sore !?!!?! at a wedding here, sorry , but true.
I bought this album way back in 1976 and even on my puny Phillips stereo system of 5 watts per channel it rocked like ?!?😍😁.
Over the many years since and many house moves I lost the album.
However thanks to a YouTube video by Ashfromlondon recently looking at deep cut albums he reminded me to go and buy a first pressing again.
So I did? It's just arrived today in NM condition with even that hideous photo lyric sheet inner all present and correct. Well now being older and wiser I own a Rega P7 etc etc and my God this album , after a thorough wet clean, sounds utterly amazing.
Even I'm playing bloody air guitar at 59 ?!?
This is a serious contender for one of the most under rated hard rock albums of 1975. I mean what else is it up against ? Physical Graffiti, Sabotage, Who by Numbers, Straight Shooter, what else ? I'm sure there's lots more hard rock albums but really Quo kicks serious amounts of air from my speakers - B and W 703s, so they can shift some air, right ?
A five star album in my opinion. -

One of the strongest Quo albums, no fillers, only killers. -

Any info on this mastering? My 1st UK has IGD and my 2nd press of the CD is awful. -

Very tinny compared to the 1st issue vinyl. 'Lonely Night' is a very worthy addition, though.
