This tape is a shame by Kent Plak - EMI's representative in Turkey, as it has undersigned to many other shameful EMI re-releases back in the 1980s. I this cassette from my high school years in the late 1980s. The Turkish record company chose to release the first part of the White Album in a single cassette album, as if the rest of the album had no value or integrity at all. And they named the album after its most stupid sounding song, "Obladi Oblada", to make it sound familiar to the phrase, "Hopladı Zıpladı" in Turkish, in expectations to sell it in the Turkish market. They might have been right, but this is a great injustice to the entirety of the White Album.This cheap tape has no other value than a basic bootleg recording or even a flexidisc made on a Soviet pressed x-ray film. This album only has a material value as a souvenir like parts of the Berlin Wall, only for its antiquated value - taking for granted the miserable legacy it left to the German society. That even would be a compliment too much. - Though I still wonder if demeaning that cassette release would also help increase its material value. Maybe some collectors would thank me for degrading it :(
