GAK celebrates 30 years along with SAW2 this year, and for being 30 years old this has not stood the test of time so well. I think it's a good 12" for being made in 1990, but I have to agree it gets repetitive; such is acid music at the time.
as for the pressing, bassy as FUK and my copy only has some light surface noise for its age -

I am not convinced that the alter ego of GAK is Richard D. James ?

I love this. If you didn’t like the original GAK you should steer clear of this too but fans of that weird little EP will enjoy the extra tracks bumping it to album length. -

I wouldn't say that I'm a fan of this EP. The tracks were a little bit repetitive and rather lacking, given they were a few demos Richard D James sent to Warp before being signed up. However, I did like "GAK 4" the most out of the four, and the tracks are rather good for playing in a nightclub. I don't hate this EP, but it's definitively not Richard's best. -

On Wikipedia they say that "The album is rumored to be an imitation of the classic Warp artist LFO". Well, "GAK" is an "almost-five-letter shift" of "LFO", the "almost" being the letter O, which is a "four-letter-shift". (G, H, I, J, K, L - A, B, C, D, E, F - K, L, M, N, O). I don't know if it means anything, but that's usual with Richard D. James =D -

A somewhat minimalist braindance classic. And it shall remain a classic. -

Made in the style of classic Warp records pioneers like the Forge masters, Dextrous, and LFO etc, but unfortunately never makes the grade. Note to Richard. FAIL !
