Various – Now That's What I Call Music! 18

I have just purchased this. When I checked the list of Tracks/Artists on the back of the actual CD shipped to those shown above (as defined by the Discogs database) they do not match. If you put the shipped CD's Barcode number into Discogs search box it brings this CD ( the one shown above). SO something isn't right! I will make with junorecords the shipper/supplier.

What is this version? 2024? I doubt it exists the 2024 version had 4 tracks removed due to pathetic copyright issues

Could someone please create a listing for the 2024 release. I wouldn't know where to start. It's been out a while now

If the 2024 release contains the wrong mixes of the other tracks remains to be seen.

Now 18 was released in November 1990, over a week before Thatcher left Downing Street. I got it for Christmas that year.

8. The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody: Great song back in the charts following the film 'Ghost'.
9. Belinda Carlisle - (We Want) The Same Thing: Great song from Belinda.
10. Status Quo - Anniversary Waltz (Part 1): Great rock and roll medley in the style of Jive Bunny; I actually prefer Part 2.
11. INXS - Suicide Blonde: Another great track from INXS.
12. Public Image Ltd. - Don't Ask Me: Great song.
13. Talk Talk - It's My Life: Great synth track.
14. The La's - There She Goes: Great track from John Power's pre-Cast band.
15. Tina Turner - Be Tender With Me Baby: Great song.
16. Robert Palmer and UB40 - I'll Be Your Baby Tonight: Great cover of Bob Dylan.

Always felt this was an underrated Now album. Side 2 is a bit suspect but we get six number ones and the dance/pop stuff on sides 3 and 4 is great. Things would go downhill for a bit from here with Now 19 and 20 before some redemption from 21 and 22.
