BEAUTUFUL LP! Many people do not like the Capitol Albums, but I love them, and this is my favorite. A true work of art, from the With The Beatles inspired cover but changed to fit the U.S vibe, and the songs are magnificent! I'd play it over and over and over again on repeat. I own a 3rd Pressing, Just such a wonderful LP.

I don't own this or any of these remasters yet, but I've heard rumors of skipping. Has anyone experienced it on these releases?
        Thanks in advance.

Wow, this thing is PUNCHY! Nice and loud, love it. Great color and "This Boy" in particular sounds great to my ears.

EDIT: A6 has several skips and sounds suuuuuper muddy. Damn.

Very nice sounding US mono press. I picked it up in the used bins at my local brick and mortar for $3.99 about a year ago. The cover is a bit ring-worn, but not bad compared to some recordings of this vintage. There's literally zero surface noise or pops/skips present. The mix is exactly what you'd expect from a British pop band in 1964, clearly mixed for AM radio (In America), with vocals way up front, and guitars second in the mix, but translates well on my big system as well. I bought my original copy back in about 1971, but lost it through the flooding of my parents basement. I've looked for a decent copy all these years, so imagine my happiness when I found this 1964 copy in such great condition. It's no collectors item (going for .99 cents currently on Discogs) and it's a standard Pinckneyville Pressing, who pressed and distributed so many records (much like Terre Haute) in the Midwest of the US. All in all a very decent record, and I couldn't be happier for $3.99!

I should mention that fans are snapping up any and all Beatles records from the used bins, so anything you see should be purchased (only if its in decent condition and you don't already have this variant). They are disappearing fast. And it's mono!

I've been a Beatles fan since I was 16 years old in 1963. Being a Canadian my album experiences were UK releases. I just had my first taste of the US Capitol releases. Amazon just delivered "Meet The Beatles", "The Beatles Second Album", and "Something New". And I just listened to "Meet The Beatles".
This mono release is absolutely awesome!! The disc is flat as a pancake and perfectly clean right out of the box. There's no surface noise at all, the packaging is dead on, and my VSS 3 mil liner fits perfectly.
The sound is incredible. I don't see how anyone could expect anything better. What an absolute treat. An absolute treasure! Highly recommended for sure. I have a very strong feeling, that the other two records will prove to be just as impressive.

Tell me it's the scan of the inner sleeve hawking other albums that has been flipped, and not the original printing of it!

This thing sounds glorious. Silent, crisp pure and alive. Mono is the way.

This is one of those remasters that make you never spin the original again. It is cut hot but carefully hot and with very nice coloration which favors the primitive Lo-Fi recording. It triggers me to figure out how the other titles sound so I may end up buying some more

I really enjoyed listening to this. Sounds much better than my grandmother’s original copy. The mastering is a great balance between the authentic reverb-drenched sound of the original while also cleaning it up a bit for the modern ears. Sound wise these songs are not quite on par with the original UK’s, but still great for the money. Recommended.

I’ve been slowly buying this latest round of Beatles mono “reissues” of the early Capitol material (easy to spot by the “the Beatles are coming!” hype stickers on these releases) & I’ve been truly impressed. No surface noise, sounds clear, and no need to raise the volume. Would highly recommend scooping up this latest round of reissues if you can swing it!
