VMP is gone, being liquidated. If you didn't get this at the regular price of like $40-$50 you're gonna be paying a pretty penny to get it in the future -

Love the design, the sound is pretty good — but seriously, why can’t they just use anti-static sleeves? This is a $48 release! I get nervous every single time I have to pull the vinyl out of those rough plastic sleeves for the first time. -

Sound is dynamic with nice bass, I don't have the VMP release to compare it to but it sounds pretty good. It's mastered a bit low, though, so you have to raise the volume slightly. There's a bit of crackling in between tracks, but that's to be expected on gold/metallic colored vinyl. Side D on my copy has a few loud pops, not sure if they're from debris stuck in the groove or just because gold vinyl is noisier as I mentioned before. Packaging and discs are beautifully done, one of the better IVC releases imo. -

Did not disappoint. Probably my favourite sounding pressing in my collection so far. It is very bass heavy, but I like that. Very clear with no surface noise, and great packaging too. Only thing that it could've improved on was maybe a gatefold, but it's fine how it came. Booklet is great too. -

This mixing on this pressing is a bit bass heavy in my opinion, which I do prefer on albums like this one where you absolutely have to experience at least once having it bump loudly through the entire house. I really enjoyed the little booklet that was included in the packaging which gave the listeners more background to Chicago history, gang culture, and the drill scene, on top of commentary on the album. The album itself is obviously a very pivotal moment in hip hop, brings back many memories from the period of time this project came out, and it’s evident how much chief keef and young chop influenced everyone that came after them. -
