Lord Finesse – The Awakening

Ok, so theres no Actual Facts on this cut but otherwise this is the superior pressing vs the slightly newer 2xLP. Its flatter, quieter and sounds a smidge cleaner in the mastering. The sleeve is also far superior quality with the matte texture and gold stamping. And theres the rather funky vinyl itself. I do feel if VMP had let QRP do this on black vinyl instead of employing GZ with their random quality coloured stuff it could be better still but im still very pleased to own this reissue. There is also the superb 2xCD edition they bought out which offers up the instrumentals and bonus tracks and thats got no tics and pops at all apart from Finesse's samples!

Sound quality is amazing on this not gonna lie, at least for my copy. Super flat and maybe 1-2 crackles through the whole thing. Drums are really punchy.

Had two copies, both really warped and very noisy even after an ultrasonic clean. Going to pick up on CD instead.

amazing album. did this actually come out in 1995? this is the only source I can find for that, everywhere else says February 1996

But, uhmm, Djeezis…can you guys just cop Actual Facts on 12” (for cheap WITH the bonus track Underworld Operations as an extra (read: that one is NOT on the album) and be happy with AND a Finesse 12” AND a Finesse full-length AND a Finesse bonus track in your collection?

Great album , but quality is so poor, shame ,great lirycs need trully remaster Lord.

If only Lord Finesse would have recorded songs with the artists he featured on the interludes. SMH. Too much filler, not enough killer. This album is dope, but could have been dope-ER.

Can anyone confirm if Actual Facts is actually on the A side. That seems unlikely since there are already 8 track on there. But if it was true I would buy it.
