Great album and a sentimental favorite. Anyone else have both sides with the Metal label? Sounds great of course

I already had a promo copy of the original 88 dmm mastered version. I wanted see how it compared and I'm sure glad I did. I already knew it would be good... an all analogue cut by Chris Bellman but I was truly floored by how damn good this is. The original is good but it's limited by the dmm cut. This lacquer version is so rich, vibrant, and organic sounding. It truly sounds like you're in studio with Stipe, Buck, Berry, and Mills. Get it now!

One of the bands most loved records containing as it does quite a few hugely popular Rockers like Orange Crush and Pop Song 89, as well as thought provoking material like World Leader Pretend, and slightly disturbing and menacing material like Turn You Inside Out. An absolutely brilliant album from REM, the way it has retained its freshness and vibrancy defies belief. If you had no knowledge of this record, it would be very difficult to guess the year it was made, it's just universally timeless. Interestingly quite a few people who are not necessarily fans of REM, have informed me that they just love Orange Crush, I'm aware that normally folks mention Everybody Hurts, but I can see why this infectious song will never be forgotten, it's just perfectly structured and, such an enjoyable sing along, you can even happily pogo along with it, if your feeling in an energetic punky mood.
To check if you have the Made In Greece copy, it's very simple, it's just below the Warner Bros logo on the paper labels of the cassette. Don't get confused as the artwork was imported into Greece to facilitate this release.
But hey, you don't necessarily need the Greece release, any release of Green will do. An under appreciated masterpiece from a legendary band, Green deserves a lot more attention and more airplay would be very welcome indeed.

As an Athens, GA local, I find this AMAZING. Totally recommend to any local Athens music fan or anyone just into powerful ass cool music.
