The Strokes – Comedown Machine

I think this pressing, Angles and The New Abnormal are examples of modern records mastered really well.

Brilliant separation and very dynamic. Makes the listening experience very engaging. Sounds miles better than what you would hear on streaming. You can feel the dance energy of Welcome To Japan and the electronic atmospheric vibe of Chances.

Sometimes it may get a bit bright (esp in All The Time) but not a big deal at all. Highly recommend it. I wish more modern records sounded like this.

The vinyl color looks exactly like a bootleg copy. Fortunately the record sounds much better than any boot could ever be.

This album is amazing. This pressing really does it justice. It sounds very crisp and clear.

If anyone has a numbered jacket for this pressing, I’d be interested in buying it. I purchased mine used, and it came with just the standard jacket.

This is still available on Urban outfitters website, so please ignore the sellers trying to gouge you with these prices listed here. There is also a reasonably priced yellow ish pressing you can find pretty easily around the internet if you really want this in color.

Visually this is a 10/10, my favorite of the recent UO reissues from a aesthetic perspective (although angles was a close second, love the pink pressing). I absolutely love the color of this record, creamy white, semi translucent!?. This is probably my least favorite Strokes album but this pressing is put together beautifully and it sounds amazing as well. No complaints

UO did a fantastic job with this series of Strokes reissues. They all sound and look amazing! They did all the albums except for "Is This it". All limited to 3000 copies. Really nice to have these color variant reissues of these albums

My copy has close to zero background noise and does not skip. Playing on a Rega Planar 3. Only complaint was a warp I was able to flatten. Sounds great.

Was super excited when these UO exclusive colors vinyls of the Strokes albums were announced. My copy skips several times on the second song of side A “All the time”. Tried giving it a clean and it still skips multiple times throughout that song. Shame, huge strokes fan and the color of the vinyl itself looks really nice

Lots of surface noise on my copy. Also came with corner totally bent, but did come from uk rough trade. It’s a shame they didn’t test better.
