David Bowie – The Next Day

Unwrapped myself to find in mint condition except for cheap staples which are rusted.

I keep telling myself that I need to listen to some good records when they originally are released and this record falls in this category. This is a fantastic record! I deprived myself of years of not listening to it and I’m upset about it. Highly recommended.

My pressing sounded great!

Does anyone have a copy with a white CD? It still has the square, but the rest of the CD is white.

Is there some type of colour-changing property to the label side of the disc? I received the disc only as part of a multi-disc eBay lot and the matrix info matches this pressing, but the disc face is white rather than black. The white square in the middle is still present, but where the images here show black surrounding it, mine is a matte white (as opposed to the semi-glossy white of the square). The text at the bottom is black.

The first series of 16 reissued albums was released in 2019, with each album released in a limited edition of 50 copies individually numbered from 1 to 50 and pressed on blue vinyl.

Yeah, why reissue. I bought it the week it was released. Sounds great, very solid, punchy. A great Bowie rock album, nothing we haven’t heard before but very solid

Mine came with a cd as well. 200g? Seems like 180 to me.

My issue came with a cd? anyone know why its not listed?

Just sounds okay. Very muffled and flat presentation, but it gets the job done. I wish Parlophone would do a proper reissue to give this the due diligence it deserves, but I suppose I'll have to wait until the next box set for that

Not sure why this is labelled a reissue. Maybe I’m missing something. Anyway, surprisingly good pressing. I’m always dubious with American pressings, but this has great soundstage, and is quiet with only a few pops the whole album. Solid packaging too.
