I personally was hoping they'd use the 2LP MoV master for "Vol. 1" and this. One day.

Sounds WAY better than the 2015 pressing! Way more dynamic and just an outstanding listen from beginning to end!

this pressing sounds great, a lot of high end in the mix (but that's just how it is) i did encounter some quiet spots that disappeared after cleaning the record.
I'm very glad that this masterpiece of an album finally got the mass release on vinyl it deserves, but i don't get why rhino has to release these albums on clear vinyl, it's a cool gimmick but it makes no difference in sound and is (in my opinion) a tired gimmick.

Great pressing. My copy sounds excellent. Rich and dynamic, no pops, cracks. Money well spent!

In my opinion, the mix lacks a little upper frequencies in the middle range , but it good over all
...And again, strange thing that is on all my records of recent DT reissues from Rhino - surface noise at the beginning of each side :( Is anyone has same noise?

I own both this original Brazilian pressing and the 2013 MOV black pressing, and both are good for their own reasons. The Brazilian pressing has a great bottom end with bass much more present, while the MOV has the clarity that sounds more akin to the CD release (being that it was confirmed to be digitally sourced).

However, both are plagued with the same issue: it’s a long album clocking in just under an hour on one disc. The Brazilian pressing suffers from this more, you have to crank up the volume to get a loud enough presence on your setup.

Fortunately, I did hook up a dynamic expander into my setup (Pioneer RG-2) and after getting the correct levels set, the Brazilian pressing actually sounds much better than the MOV, being that it’s from the original master and not a digital master like the MOV has.

If you like the album and just want to have it on vinyl, you can’t go wrong with the MOV. (The Rhino SYEOR clear reissue from this year is sourced from this press as well). But if you want to have the original pressing and master (and you happen to have an expander in your rig) the Brazilian press is a great value cut and cheaper still than the Europe/South Korean pressings. But beware you would want to get the cleanest copy you can find.

Great sounding. Wish they would do a 45 RPM to separate the bottom end more. Really sounds great but there were just parts that could have way more umph and to be honest weren’t really muddy as much as they were just thin sounding. It is a great, great album and nothing to really complain about but I think I would really love to hear this as one of those UHQR 45rpm pressings. Maybe no one could handle that? Maybe your head would just explode? Maybe it’s for everybones safety 😂🤷
