Edited one year agoThe description on the back of the sleeve alone is just too good. Due to its linguistically idiosyncratic expression, it can hardly be translated: „A potpourri with 28 tangible and drinkable mood songs for the bottle party“. That doesn‘t change anything of James Last outstanding resume as a musician (he was a legit upright bass player which can be easily noticed in the robust and deep Bass in his recordings) and highly respected leader of his huge bigband. He was touring and recording up to his early 80‘s and he died on stage, so to speak. Fun fact: these party records had party noise in the backround of the mix: Glasses clinking, stupid roaring of drunken men and hysterical laughter of cheerful ladies. Not exactly his best album but a huge fun with fat sound.
