Kiss – Dynasty

Incredible sounding vinyl with SNB mastering. Every bit as good as the Priceless Collection Destroyer. So good.

This is not the German first pressing (there were 3 pressings on the Bellaphon label - if you count the red vinyl edition, but not the stickered club edition - before this). This is the first Phonogram pressing from 1980. This was quickly replaced by the one with censored logo in the autumn of 1980.

Look at picture #2. That vinyl is pressed in Europe at the GZ Media plant. Article code on vinyl's label is 0602537658282-A. Then take a look at picture #16 where the vinyl's article code is B0019820-01-A - which is the "better" RM lacquer cut (Ron McMaster).

What is Kiss doing here? I'd like to see the back of the jacket of whoever posted picture #2 where the article label is 0602537658282-A - I've had the same one in my hands but returned it. Reason: seller claim it a US import - while it is not. It is the European one. On this version, probably made in 2024 or 2025 - they have removed the "made in eu" print on the back of the cover. And you know what, they slapped the hypersticker on saying: "First U.S. vinyl pressing Since the 1985 editions" - not on all, but some of them (Hotter Than Hell and Dynasty as I am aware of).

You can't buy these from online stores. You will not know what you are getting. They are misleading customers with their fake "import" pricing (it's almost double the price as of normal European pressing - same stamper). If you are lucky, you get leftover Ron McMaster cuts in the bunch, those with the B00....... article codes.

Sold in Europe as a US pressing with the 2014 US hypesticker saying: "180-gram Audiophile Vinyl First U.S. vinyl pressing Since 1985 editions". Vinyl is pressed at GZ Media. Article for the master (noted on the spine of the jacket) is the same as the EAN code, while the US had the code: B001982001 done by Ron McMaster. Still comes with the large poster.

Sounds OK, but I already bought this GZ one in 2014. The LC code is 00268, and they have removed the "made in eu" on the back of the jacket and on the vinyl's label. Bought brand new and sealed in

How can this be US. It's made in Czech Republic.

I have three Canadian copies of this, including one of the Columbia House version. All three have a skip, on different songs, otherwise very clean VG+ copies. anyone know of a pressing issue in Canada / Quality records for this record ?

Really good sounding album, one of the best Kiss sounding album and the songs are good.

Damn. “Limited” to 2500 copies; somehow missed this last year, and it’s going for this much?

Let's talk about sound quality... this album sounds great! Low end is thick but tight. Mids and highs are crisp and clear. Nothing drowns anything out. Nice press!

The poster that comes in this one printed on the foil is absolutely stunning !
