Crazy Horse – Zuma

The mastering is pretty good but the quality is abysmal for a brand new record. The disc is thin and flimsy, it came out of the sleeve covered in static, dust and scratches and it was slightly warped. I have records that are over 50 years old in better condition than this. If you can get a clean copy then it’s fine, but be prepared to go through a few before you find one.

This original press sounds gloriously ragged, crisp and chiming. Just a brilliant all analog cut

Just got a copy on eBay in mint condition and its one of the best sounding Taiwan pressing I've heard. And I've heard over 20 of them.

Great Neil Young album and this German pressing sounds great too.

Ugh. Mine has a nasty high freq, extremely sibilant, bip throughout side A and most of B. Total bummer. Must find another....

This pressing is truly outstanding, with powerful range and punch. My copy is G+ but still sparkles thanks to the skilled lacquer cut by Horn. A timeless classic in every sense of the word. Cortez is my all-time fave NY track.

Mine is excellent: clean out of the sleeve, dead quiet, flat, and beautifully dynamic presentation.

This 24-bit 192-kHz remaster, coming 39 years after its debut, sounds great. Did an album that was recorded in a garage deserve a 24-bit 192-kHz treatment? Probably not. Being nit picky the clarity could be just a bit better. But Mr. Bellman did the best he could in remastering this, and I know it was a challenge.
As usual Neil sings out of tune regularly (as usual), which is part of his endearing charm.
