Sounds good from a mastering standpoint. The 45 rpm is quiet and sounds wonderful. The salmon disc is well done. Flat and quiet throughout. Not a 10 out of 10 in the quiet scale but close.
In my opinion the 45 disc is better material, the salmon disc is not my favorite stuff of his, but a good entry nonetheless.

Sooo happy I opted for this pressing!! Everything about the packing feels so intentional and high-quality, and the salmon disc is gorgeous and perfectly color-matched to the album art. The 45/33 mix is a nice touch and shows the team wanted to get the highest quality out of this release as possible. Fantastic pressing of an amazing project!!

My insert is signed "Justin Vernon 22." Does anyone know the significance of the 22?

Secretly Store says this: The album’s conceptual genesis happened on 2.22.22 when Jim-E Stack, Vernon’s close collaborator and guide throughout the creative process, arrived at the base with Danielle Haim.

My copy sounds very good. Flat and quiet. None of my Bon Iver pressings could be described as dynamic but this one is the best to me and I have all the other albums on vinyl. Jagjaguwar pressings are definitely of mixed quality.

This is the best sounding Bon Iver pressing to date. Very impressed.

I feel like reading the reviews my experience is a fluke, but my copy is amazing.
I've been streaming the Dolby Atmos version on Tidal since it came out and already thought the sound of the album was great. This LP brought new dimensions to these songs that felt like hearing them for the first time. The 45rpm for the Sable EP really brings out the great mic-ing and mastering on those sparse tracks. The sax crescendo on Award Season is so unbelievable.
Then when I saw the Fable LP was 33 1/3 rpm I worried, because there's so much more happening on those songs than the Sable EP. Thankfully, the detail and subtleties are just as impressive on the second disc. I was hearing layers and parts of these songs i had not yet heard. I'll Be There especially felt like a brand new song.
My copy is totally flat, and I love everything about the packaging of this pressing. I cannot recommend this release enough!

My copy needed a little dust cleaning too but now sounds amazing, definitely recommend this pressing if you just want something that sounds great and don’t care about color variants.

Like all my Jagjaguwar pressings, this is really poor. Side C is so full of surface noise that it's unlistenable. Wet cleaned twice with no improvement. Sable is just about able, but compared to other pressings I've recently bought (Tracy Chapman S/T and the new Sam Fender) this is nowhere near good enough. Can't even return as bought on the secondary market. My own fault as I keep thinking Jagjaguwar's QC can't get any worse.

Finished my first couple spins after listening to this numerous times on Tidal prior. The vinyl sounds excellent.

The vinyl mastering is really well done with a big soundstage, excellent instrument separation, and punchy bottom end. It’s the opposite of muddy.

Honestly, it’s refreshing that a Bon Iver studio release sounds so good on vinyl as I’ve thought previous vinyl releases were very lacking compared to their digital counterparts. This one sounds great.

My records are flat and noiseless, and the packaging was a nice touch. Recommended

Solid pressing, seems to be consistent with the other variants reviewed on Discogs. Highs come through with a bit of sibilance on my copy, but the vinyl is relatively clean without pops or significant background hiss (but it’s there if you listen hard for it). Better than expected for a color vinyl pressing made exclusively for Target.

My copy looks and sounds wonderful. Side B doesn’t lock for me but other than that, it’s perfect.
