Mastering on this press is a bit compressed. S1T1 is a muddy mess but it gets better. Lots of good tunes other than the hits we all heard on the radio back in the day.

Definitely an improvement over the original, which sounded a little boxed-in and lacking in bottom-end. Pressing is on the slightly noisy side. Artwork is poor - washed out and doesn’t have the original textured sleeve. Small details, but these should have been attended to prior to production.

Bob and the Silver Bullets were in high gear this time of their career and it shows on this Mofi Japan release. Many of the early Mofis need to be turned up a notch to reveal their full fidelity and when you do it truly blossoms. That's just the way these were mastered and it's a great formula. Night Moves is outstanding too.

I can't leave as review on this album which I ordered , as the seller switched it out for a Boz Skaggs album which I haven't heard as it is in such bad shape . I WONT PLAY IT

This sounds really nice. Yes, it is a very commercial album but that doesn’t change the fact that it is still great.

A very acceptable bar rock band, Seger is right in there with Springsteen, N Young, and Mellencamp. A little infusion of folk and country with classic rock Americana(Canadiana?). Love the growling sax solos, short and sweet, and nice rhythm guitar throughout.

"Highlights Include Against The Wind", "Her Strut", and "Betty Lou". Solid writing but not breaking any new ground. His '76 "Night Moves" is a must have, then get this one.

Nice clean recording with natural acoustic guitar sounds and full vocals. Master by Wally. Pressing is good. 3.5 stars
