more than 25 years later and I still come back to this album. It still stands as one of the greatest goa albums ever. The bassline in Ion Tribe can demolish entire neighbourhoods. Just smash them away. Essential.

Inspirational CD, anyone who comments otherwise listened to it once, if at all...

I won't really reflect upon the rest of the album, let alone what alone what it sounds like, but Spiritual Beings In Physical Bodies is single handedly responsible for launching "Silicon Trip" in the old school hall of fame list of compulsroy must listen to before I die albums.
Seriously now, if you ever wondered what the ideal old school goa trance track sounds like, then you are on the right track here. Stomping drum kick, with incredibly catchy and memorable lead melodies, beats rolling at a neck snapping pace, with enough acidic wizardry and effects to last three vintage old school classics. I was never a dedicated follower of Seb Tylor's work, but Spiritual Beings In Physical Bodies makes you go through his entire discography twice and put every single track on repeat until I've learned it by heart.
While the entire album reeks quality, the formulaic sound and stereotypical sound and touch most tracks have prevails. Despite his legendary status, Shakta doesn't really add any fame to his name this time around. Sure, it may be a matter of taste and personal preferences, but it's the sheer beauty of the aforementioned track which made this album earn its place amongst the greatest of them all.
That would be it, I guess. My verdict regarding this album may not be competent as many may have wanted it to be, but if nothing else, there is one track here which makes this album more than worth getting. Spiritual Beings In Human Bodies most defintely ranks among the top ten old school goa trance tunes I have ever listened to, and then some! At the end of the day, while this album does not get two fat thumbs up from me, it is a worth while testament to the old school sound. There are no bad tracks at all, but once I've hards Spiritual Beings In Physical Bodies, the remaining tunes simultaneously took a back seat here... My final verdict: an average album with one track which takes its place among the best of them!

This is a pretty solid album. The sound is typical goa trance. "Spiritual Beings..." is probably the best track. And of course there is an obligatory chill out track at the end.
