Does anyone have this version of the release? Or a possibility to compare with others? Thanks. -

Excellent sound quality on this, really do not see the need for the AP45. Robert Ludwig mastering! -

Love this album, and was really impressed with the sound on this picture disc. Definitely not the best copy of 90125 you could buy, but far from how cursed most picture discs sound.
Trevor Horn has publicly stated how much he hates heavy metal, but has his hands in all the "heaviest" material Yes has put out. "City of Love" and "Hearts" end up being mosh-worthy at points, not to mention some of the stuff on Drama -
The extended version, to my ears, sounds much different to the other extended versions on YouTube. This disc is also missing those versions and the remixed/extended mix of Leave It. It's a shame they were missed off.

I have multiple copies of this album on vinyl and CD/SACD and have grown up with it since its release in 1983. In my opinion, this is absolutely the best sounding vinyl release to date. I didn't like the SACD however.

I am a huge YES-fan, but I can't stand Trevor Rabin. Can't stand their 80s output. Also, this sounds just horrible. A huge ! Not worth $100 (which they cost in Scandinavia). 👎

Do not buy this CD, it sounds terrible, it is highly compressed. Unless you want to see what can be done with a well-recorded album.

I am a huge Yes fan, and a huge fan of this record. It is an amazing illustration of how great musicians can shift over time and still produce great music. I found this used at a CD Exchange for $5, and to me that was a no-brainer. However, upon listening to it through my Pioneer PD-65 and Rotel amplifier, it sounded exceptionally bright, with too much in the midrange and low treble. I have many CDs that were reengineered and/or remastered in the 90's and they all sound this way. Knowing Pioneer's penchant for being slightly bright anyway, I put it into my Yamaha, and it is still too bright, and as other have noted, somewhat compressed. This runs counter to how Yes typically records - much of their catalog is very dynamic with less compression than most other bands (listen to Talk and you know what I mean).
If you are a Yes collector or fan, it's not bad, but there are many other variants where sound quality is better than this version, and what you would expect from a Yes record. -
Good pressing - sound is a tad flat, but overall satisfactory. The big selling point is the tri-colored vinyl. Looks really cool 😎.
