Avenged Sevenfold – Sounding The Seventh Trumpet

This pressing suprised me, the sound is way clearer (and bearable) than the compressed versions online. also almost none to zero surface noise or cracks and pops. Actually made me enjoy this album more than I was expecting. It is still my least favourite Avenged Sevenfold album, but y'know, gotta catch 'em all... The packaging looks really good but is definetly quite fragile and of weaker material. Love all the small and cool details tho!
Also, I wish that the color of the vinyl itself was more purple and less... pink? I think it would've fit better!
Overall, really solid pressing, no big complaints.

Just spun this for the first time in a long time and I’m very impressed with the sound. I have other versions of this album but they’re still sealed so this is the only one I have to listen to but it has a nice full and warm sound.

I -think- this is the one I have? Hard to tell, I bought it used, and there's not a lot of information about the earlier release...

Hopeless Records' first release of this was in 2002...that's when I bought the CD (Hopeless' roster was amazing back then and I mail-ordered from them often.) Either that release isn't here or the 2008 release is actually the 2002 release.

Is this black vinyl release more limited than the purple release?

This release deserves some love. It sounds awesome and its gatefold. Pick this up while you can, betting on this release only going up in value.

Does anyone who has this in their possession know if this is a gatefold sleeve? i am trying to figure out the difference between this and the 2016 reissue.

Nice sounding pressing - similar to the CD, but a bit more warmth & punch. Vinyl is very quiet overall, and the gatefold sleeve is nice. Spreading this across 2 LPs was definitely the right call, resulting in great sound throughout the album (cramming it onto 1 LP would have been a compromise).

I can wholeheartedly recommend this version of the underrated (IMO) A7X debut.

For those who own a copy of the GL print: the version of "Warmness on the Soul" included here is the same as the one on the Warmness on the Soul EP and Hopeless Records' reissues of STST? I'm asking this because the original "To End the Rapture" - recorded in 2000 - is featured on this print and is readily available online, but there are no signs of the original "Warmness on the Soul" anywhere, only the 2001 'Single Version' is available.
