I am convinced the Allman Brothers (and esp Gregg) took much from this landmark Blue Note record. You can hear the Jimmy Smith influence throughout Live at the Fillmore East.

Excellent pressing. The LP is flat and the sound is good. My first from Vinyl ion, certainly not the last.

Classic Jimmy Smith album with a pair of extended jams and a sweet take on "Flamingo". Despite the four piece horn section, the focus is squarely on Smith. This is a 1973 pressing, and it sounds fine to me, with plenty of bass, solid range from top to bottom, and a full-bodied soundstage. My copy is in very nice shape, and plays clean and quiet with no noticeable surface noise.

Excellent sound, clear, powerful and deep. A nice alternative to the hard-to-find (and expensive) US original.

On my copy, the back cover lists: J.O.S. as the first track and Flamingo as the second track, but on the B side label, it’s flipped: Flamingo is track A and J.O.S. is track B.

I have this one. The order of compositions is right on the cover and so is on the label. But actually "Flamingo" is B1 and J.O.S. is B2.
I have no idea how can it be.

Great pressing. Flat, noiseless. Great sounding recording with bonus tracks. Source most likely CD.
