Notes
The actual band name for this release is Amorphous Androgynous, but some regional record companies didn't like that the first new album from the group in 6 years was under an alternate band name so they changed the band name without the artists' consent. In some regions (like the US) it is changed to "Future Sound Of London present Amorphous Androgynous", in others it is changed to "Future Sound Of London".
There is also 2 remake versions. The first (the 2 CD "The Isness and The Otherness") can be found here: Amorphous Androgynous - The Isness & The Otherness . The Otherness was later released as a stand alone compilation (Jan 2004 for the 2cd version, Apr 2004 for the stand alone).
The second remake is the "Abbey Road Version" and can be found on this page.
The Isness (Abbey Road Version) vinyl had an edition of 1750 copies:
Amorphous Androgynous - The Isness (The Abbey Road Version) - 750 unnumbered standard vinyl edition.

referencing The Isness (2×LP, Album) FSOLLP101
In the 90s they sampled Peter Gabriel, remixed Robert Fripp, Jon Anderson and Bryan Ferry
So it was in the cards that they would sooner or later make album like this -

I picked this up in Berlin last week and as a long-term FSOL fan I wasn't sure what to expect. I've listened to it through maybe 3 times now and its really growing on me. To be honest I think its excellent. -

This is the version on Spotify, which completely drops The Lovers and includes a different version of The Mello Hippo Disco Show. What a mess! -
Love the music, pressing suffers from sibilance though, at least my copy does. Even adjusted myTT set up to eliminate that as a possibility.

Love the galaxial pharmaceutical version on this!! Can't decide whether I prefer this version or the original!

Really enjoyed this despite the problems. Firstly it's been squeezed onto 2 sides so the content is so quiet that the noise floor becomes more of an issue, it's surprisingly quiet considering how close to the noise floor it is. Whether they had to cut a lot of bass to fit it on is another issue. It does work well as 2 sides though, really draws you in.
RSD pressings always seem to be a problem, too many manufacturers trying to get their product in the store for the 'big' day, quality control suffering in the factories. Choosing to go with a printed card liner is a bad sign that the label are cutting corners, it should have been a poly bag with separate liner notes, would have cost a few more pennies but saved some of the scratches.
Still happy to own it. Just needs the volume right up to enjoy it at decent volume. -
A really enjoyable record. After a good cleaning I found it to be a good pressing. I was expecting the Abbey Road mastering magic but that would be nitpicking.. the inclusion of a more bulked out sleeve (gatefold) would have been nice. But this shouldn't detract from the excellent music within.. goes well in my FSOL collection

Six of the tracks here are actually different to the versions on the 2002 Abbey Road version - Divinity, Osho and Meadows are longer and feature new sections, while Mello Hippo, Her Tongue is Like a Jellyfish and Galaxial are shorter and feature minor editing. Yes My Brother is missing and Go Tell it to the Trees Egghead is later in the running order. There will never be anything approaching a definitive version of this album!

Not quite as bad a pressing but quite noisy...FFS you would expect for RSD they would make sure that it is a quality pressing!
Does anyone know where it was pressed?
