Fear Factory – Demanufacture

If someone please could add a picture of the CD, I'm an FF collector and I wonder if the CD has any difference with other versions, usually color can be different, white, blue, red, black discs, etc.

Is the 25th Anniversary Edition remastered? I know it does indicate "vinyl remastering" but I'm wondering if that ONLY relates to the bonus live tracks...?

The 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition digital files sound identical to the original digital files to my ears.

The credits indicate George Marino having mastered tracks A1 to D2 and Damien Renaud mastering tracks E1 to F3 (bonus live tracks).

George Marino was the man who mastered the original album in 1995. He could not have remastered the 25th Anniversary Edition in 2021 because he ed away in 2012.

So if George Marino did indeed master tracks A1 to D2, then this is the original, 1995 master of the album and should not be listed as a remaster.

in my album, records 1 and 2 have a background sound - in the quiet sections. As in the intro of song 3 on the album

Bought in but received the Argentina edition with the ugly "Icarus" logo... :(

The artwork of this edition is not of great quality, slightly blurred compared to the original edition (in digipack 1CD).

The remaster brings (slightly) more space to the sound stage.

Can someone analize this album with MAAT DROffline MkII?

Please, someone tell me if this pressing has better dynamics than the 2007 pressing.

It's funny, I'm giving this record a second listen through after initially picking it up last year and that "pulsing sizzle sound" that an earlier reviewer so aptly described has almost completley abated. When I used to work on cars and we would run into problems that would seemingly fix themselves, we called it "car magic" (no, I was never a licensed mechanic). I feel like some car magic was bestowed upon this particular pressing; maybe my (soon to be extinct) M44-7 just had to carve out the grooves ever so slightly upon first listen, but I kid you not, it sounds much better the second time through. I have the German 2007 pressing as well and while both versions kick serious ass, I feel like the separation of instruments are slightly better on this one. It also goes without saying that this is one of the best metal albums of all time and is still unparelleled in many ways.

I have the US and this version. This version the gap between Demanufacture and Self Bias Resister is off leaving the trailing of Demanufacture at the beginning of Self Bias Resister. Frustrating as I ordered this to replace my copy of the US one due to damage. LAME.

Packaging is great, but there is constant noise and cymbals sound awful, especially Self Bias Resistor at 00:30. It's a 8/10 in my opinion.

Forgive me my English, I compared the original edition and the re-edition. Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen, but this is not a bad release in general. The Reissue added readability in the upper middle, but it also became somewhat tedious with the added compression. The bass became less, on the original it was dense, large and fast. The vocals have become thin, the highest frequencies are missing. As already mentioned, there is constant noise in one channel. If there is no money for the original, this is a good buy, but the original is still the standard.
