It does not sound like the continuous stellar composition "Back On A Mission" or the mellow breakbeat sound of "Drop The Break", however "Counterfeit" ain't fake for your ears.
Some soulful female voices are featured in songs like "Boomerang", "You Are (Panacea)" and "Dragon Lounge", garnished with great beats and danceable vibes.
"Breakbeat Suckers" features vocoders similar to those used by Daft Punk, and is featured in the "Downhill Domination" video game.
"Ghettoblaster" is also cool, however the version available in the "Moonshine Over America 2000" is funkier, hence even better in my opinion.
As a breakbeat head, I it that my personal highlights are rather directed towards "Hit The Decks", "Intermission" and especially "Unbreakable". The latter is pure madness, with an excellent mid-time break and a frenetic atmosphere towards the end that will be perfect as a soundtrack of the game "N2O : Nitrous Oxide".
After the chill vibes of "Drop The Break" and the space odyssey soundtrack "Back On A Mission", Cirrus offered us another different work that is probably the most accessible and danceable among their LP discography.
"Counterfeit" is a fine product of the early 2000's breakbeat era who will turn out to be the last album they'll release before disbanding one year later, in 2003. -

The first song is incredible... the rest, not so much.
