Early 1960's groovyness at it's most groovy. Simplistic stereo-mix with mostly drums'n'bass right/guitars on the left & sweet Francoise dead-center. But this allows her voice to come thru with terrific focus & crystalline clarity.
Pressing quality is good, vinyl itself is whisper-quiet on my copy after a good wet-cleaning.

I'm counting 10 different album covers. That's got to be a record. No pun intended

I've had some bad sounding DOL releases but this is one sounds great. Would recommend.

I've never really had a problem with DOL pressings, my experiences with them have all been positive. That being said, there is a little inner groove distortion on this release but other than that it's DEAD quiet. I highly recommend this one

First of all, DOL is often criticised here because of allegedly bad vinyl releases and allegedly low budget. I expressly disagree with this, as I have some excellent pressings from DOL and none of them have the usual pressing problems as with the far more expensive pressings, such as loud background noises, incorrectly glued labels, etc. What particularly amazes me is that the DOL pressings produce virtually no running noise when the cartridge is picked up. This reminds me of the "good old vinyl days", i.e. from the 60s to the end of the 80s. In of sound, the music is crystal clear and, considering the age of the songs, the dynamics are very good and balanced. No over-accentuation of the bass and mid-range as is usual nowadays. This distorts the original character of the music. The cover is also excellently reproduced and the lined inner sleeve is also exemplary. If the major record labels offered this as standard, the bad reputation would be polished up a bit. All in all, I can only recommend this disc.

This pressing sounds fantastic, very minimal to no pops or crackles after wet cleaning. Don't let the fact this is a DOL record scare you away.

The sound is beyond my expectations: dead quiet and very clean, without pops or any messy stuff.

Wonderful pressing! Flat, quiet with great seperation, deep bass, clear highs and gorgeous vocals. Highly recommended.
