I put my copy through an ultrasonic cleaner and it’s silent between tracks.
Shame you couldn’t get black, who wants piss yellow?

As others have said, lots of surface noise between tracks. I also personally felt the audio quality on both sides drops as the album progresses. To me it sounded like the sound became quite fuzzy and the mixing was awful. Perhaps I need to listen to it some more, but it is a shame that so many classic extreme metal albums receive either no or subpar reissues.

Century Media has a track record of bad pressings. This is no different. It'll do for what it is (that being one of the heaviest thrash records of all time).

Surface noise wherever the songs aren't playing. This is not static, but lack of QC. As others have stated, however, once the music gets going, the issue becomes irrelevant. The sound is quite good to my ears.

Can confirm the yellow vinyl is indeed quite noisy in between tracks. A problem I didn't encounter on the blue reissue of Tortured Existence. Other than that, a solid reissue and glad to add it to the collection.

Checked the runouts and they exactly match the 2015 reissues. So this pressing should sound identical to those ones. Essentially a repress. Would have liked the option for a black vinyl. Not much of a fan of coloured discs. YMMV. Yellow vinyl is a bit noisy during the breaks between tracks. Once it gets going though, this is a non-issue. No point of comparison, other than the 2008 CD reissue. I've not done a comparison between them yet. Rages like it should. Happy that these are available for a reasonable price again. No complaints!

Why are these so expensive now? Did century lose the rights to this album?

Love my copy, sounds wonderful. I paid about $60 with shipping a couple years ago and was bummed I spent so much. Glad I did now. You can’t find this new anymore for that price, at least not on here.
