Adele (3) – 30

I really love this album. Adele has entered a new chapter of her life, a s well as a new sound she’s exploring. This reminds me of 19 in a lot of ways, she’s got the instruments down, she’s got the sound sonically down, but the lyrics lack at moments. It’s like she’s trying to move into a new sound but still writing for her last sound. That said, she’s so good that it’s still wonderful. I really hope she expands on this sound with her next project. My guess is that (as suggested earlier) we will see a jump similar like we did from 19-21, where she really refines the lyrical content and figures out how to make super hits.

Purchased from Walmart for 5$. The cover is in horrible shape and it did not include the 12x12. But the disc themselves don’t have many issues. And the record itself sounds alright. No large complaints with the disc sound

I received my copy of this pressing for Christmas and have finally sat down to listen to it. Unpleasant surprise: I have two copies of the second disc :(

One of the best-sounding pressings in my collection! It helps that this is my favorite Adele album. No cracks, pops, or skips at all. No noticeable surface noise or anything either. Audiophile quality in my opinion, even though some of the people commenting here would disagree. I don't see why other than their situation being another case of “obtaining a bad copy”. This album is already quite jazz-influenced, so the mastering quality of the record being on par with many audiophile jazz records makes sense to me.

Amazon US has this down to like $8 brand new right now for anyone interested lol.

Not her best record for sure, but this pressing sounds phenomenal, nothing to complain about, highly recommend

Definitely agree with the consensus that this pressing has some issues. Both my discs have some noticeable discoloration. Instead of clear it looks like a blotch of an oil spill. Made sure to clean them before playing but still got several pops and hissing. It's still playable, but the quality does interfere with the overall listening experience :/
