Hello to all. Just got myself a copy of this to find out that the track "Buddy" on side AA is in fact an extended version of "The Magic Numbe 1-2-3 mix".
Very disappointed by this. Anyone with the same issue ?

These versions beat the album ones by a mile, esp. for "Buddy". -
Edited 17 years agothe Buddy (Native Tongue Decision Mix), is different, and more compelling than the mix on the LP. It is more of a cut and paste vehicle for Prince paul, and has some amazing moments. Has the Tanna Gardner "heartbeat" as it's main groove! Hearing this come through a late night mix show on a radio station from Detroit (just lived an hour away in southern ontario) back in 1989, was supremely exhilirating. These were literally sounds coming from another planet. -

One of a number of Chad Jackson hip hop remixes in the 80's which still stand strong today. His mix of De La's 'Eye Know, TLA Rock's 'This Beat Kicks' and Public Enemy's 'Rebel Without a Pause' for DMC remain highly underrated.
