Wow what a pressing.

This sounds fantastic on my system. Great bass, great dynamics.

Probably in my top 20 best sounding albums.

I bought this album from Target last week. The pressing was horrible...skips, clicks and pops...the edges were sharp and rough. I took it back to Target and they said they would only do an exchange which I did not want (after reading the Target reviews of the album). I finally was able to receive store credit. I can't believe they are selling this. Very very poor quality.

Has anyone who bought this pressing recently have any opinions about the quality? Reviews on Targets site are mainly from 2/3 years ago and complain about skips and pops but I’m not sure if that’s due to the prevalence of suitcase players

EDIT: halfway listening through this pressing. The complains about audible surface noise are valid, while I’ve heard significantly worse at a higher prices (Walmart Exclusive version of STP’s Core is the first and main one that comes to mind), at the current price offered by Target, there are far worse sounding (modern) pressings sitting out on shelves right now. I hesitated purchasing this version because of the reviews on the site complaining about constant clicks/pops and skips. But I really have only noticed some minor clicks/pops and have had 0 skips. I’ve come to the conclusion that’s it’s probably cheap players and needles amplifying issues with the player itself rather than the pressing (although the pressing isn’t doing it any favors). At under 18 dollars, the color is nice and the pressing is serviceable enough to be worth a pick up, but if you already own this album or want an purely audiophile experience, it’s best to look elsewhere

No issues on my end with noise or skips. I'm also coming off my greatest hits vol I from 1981 that sounds much worse, so I may be biased towards this newer pressing by default. Zero skips. Sounds great. No pops after just a dry cleaning. Flat. That's a in my book.

Everybody, make sure your turntables are level. If you're getting skips on this release, it's not the vinyl's fault.

This disc will always hold a special place in my heart. As someone unfortunate enough to be American at a time when Capitol Records barely promoted these legendary hitmakers, many of these hit singles were new to me at the time I bought this as an import in 1992. Yes there's some edited tracks but it's a classy presentation with a nice booklet and beautiful design. Sound quality is as good as can be for these digitally recorded tracks (save for Under Pressure). I felt cheated when they remastered this and used full-length tracks in place of some of the edits. Kills the nostalgia. O f course as a huge Queen fan I have these tracks on multiple discs now anyway. I play this one to travel back in time. Oh by the way, in regards to Capitol's lack of promotion, have to it I did see the video for "I Want To Break Free" at least twice on U.S. MTV when released (recorded it onto a cassette from our stereo hook-up when I caught it the 2nd time). Never banned, that's a b.s. story.

Bought this back in 2020 on limited edition blue vinyl, I had to take the first copy back as it had bad scuff marks on record 2. on both sides. Bad quality control. 2nd copy was perfect. Just bought a new Technics MK 7 Turntable and this is one of the first albums I played on it. Excelrnt pressing.

I got the LTD red GH but missed out on this but then I got The Platinum Collection vinyl and all the colours you could ask for! Ooh La La!

Bought this new at Target. Lots of noise even after cleaning. Skips in several songs. Not worth it.
