Great song but I HATE that they made a dance club remix of this. I bought it thinking I was getting the original song plus a couple studio outtakes or something only to find out it was rave/EDM remix with 1 version sounding close to the original. Waste of $20 for me personally. Good pressing though.

Got a promo stamped copy in January 2022. Side 1 sounds a bit loud and compressed in the mids and highs, but solid thumping bass. Side 2 is better balanced, but still a bit loud and compressed. I like the side 2 mix version of Sanctuary better anyway.

This is such a great 12"! I like this version better than the original and perfect for the club. Not a lot of clubs spin vinyl, I know, but my copy is incredible!

Picked up the seven inch in 1985 from a local record shop. Dug it because it was creative and hard but not hard rock. Also Billy Duffy is on guitar and performed very well on Theatre of Hate before. In fact i plugged it in the local disco, next week they asked me to bring the single again.

Love breaks. Love She Sells Sanctuary. Not a bad breaks tune overall but waiting 8 minutes for THE riff and it never happening was a tease. I don't like giving bad comments but I don't like being teased either :). For me a 3/5.

Guitar riffs always set the Cult apart especially on the band's 12" releases, and this is no different. Echoe's combined with super clear percussion, the gritty vocal throughout and the effect of real and electronic drums sent many a crowd into a late night frenzy. This track played late at night in the right juke t can bring back all of the reasons the name is so perfect for this band.
