A magnificent, ground shattering pressing with massive concert-hall mastering! Is Nubya and her band in my living room- you bet!
I feel so sorry for all the people out there complaining with horrible stereo systems that are having problems with this album- just lower your 63Hz and buy isolation cables for bass and treble. These things exist, you know?

Anyway, 10.4/10.0 rating. I'll have a Dale's Pale Ale, now!

Good music, fair recording. Heavy on the low end and rolled off around the low midrange

Great music content however Concord Jazz seems to have a reputation for noisy vinyl pressings and this one doesn’t let them down, no amount of cleaning can fix unfortunately.

Does this Repress sound better than the original (Black Vinyl) GZ Media Pressing, which has iffy Mastering and a mediocre pressing ?
Is this LP a Gatefold ?

Good music ruined by weird mastering choices and a mediocre pressing. The sax sounds good. The piano is fine. The drums fluctuate between tracks - sometimes they're good and spaceous, other times constricted and all over the place. But it's the bass that gives the recording a weird feeling. It is deep, but there is no resolution to it. Very often it sounds like it's coming from under water, muffled and undefined. The soundstage on several tracks is so narrow the music sounds like it's mastered in mono.

The pressing is uneven - LP1 is reasonable, LP2 has ticks galore even after us cleaning. Side C is ridiculous - it sounds like it was pressed on a wooden board, not vinyl. So, an unfortunate verdict is: you're better off with a CD or streaming. I'm returning my copy without hesitation.

There were multiple colour limited editions. Is this the white/turqoise split and splatter one?

The music is great even though a bit uneven between the best tracks and the fillers. However I'm not impressed with the sound quality of my particular copy. I bought it mint and unopend but there is quite a bit of surface noise and I'm hesitant to wet clean a brand new album.

Dare I say this is the best GZ pressing out there? Perhaps. (I still have issues with the production on this one -- the bass is WAY too heavy throughout and causes things to get a bit muddled.) But, again, no faults with the pressing. Go, GZ (for once)!

Excellent mix and pressing. Very dynamic, no loss in that deep bass as far as I can hear.

Pressing is fantastic. Huge dynamic range, and the bass seems all there.
