Depeche Mode – Black Celebration

Victim of the Loudness Wars. My good CDs I can turn to the max and still have a great experience. This album hurts the ears at the same volume due to the increase of volume of the many small but high pitch noises such as snare in this album. I have an original copy of the same album that sounds amazing in comparison

I'm not sure if it is really a misprint in the classical meaning, because this mistake appears on every label of the listed editions above.

4 vinyl pressings here including this, UK original, US original, and 2016 Euro. This is no doubt the best by miles. The detail in keyboards and David's/Martin's voices sets you back with jaw on the floor. When 'A Question of Lust' is cranked up you'll understand. And yes, there is slight sibilance on Dressed In Black Again. I also have the original US cassette, late 80's cd and Super Audio cd. I bought all of these, except jap & Uk, when they were originally released. I play the cassette occasionally for fun.

Does this later released version come without the SACD layer?

mine is the same as described including the misspelled "dressed is black", grey vinyl, embossed. However I have the mute walking man icon on both sides. Also, I have to say that there is quite a bit of surface noise especially on the first track.

any toughts about the sound quality of this pressing? thx

Great bass, incredible sound. Just wish I could compare it to other editions. Still think it is stunningly clear and magnificent.

Excellent press quality for a "modern" reissue, easily beating out my 1986 copy. Highly recommended.

I'm definitely a bigger fan of other albums by them, but this pressing sounds great
