Easily the best Melvins release to date. Want to know the secret to the sound quality of this recording: place a few mics up in an untreated room and press record; then don’t do any EQ, compression, or other processing; the “summing” from the cheap mixer does the trick. While this sounds like a joke, it isn’t, and it’s likely the best sounding Melvins release aside from it being their best material. How do I know this was the technique? Straight from the source!
