A fun album with some of Darkthrone's best riffs in a while; seems quite a bit better to me than "Arctic Thunder". It is also well recorded. There is a decent balance between bass and treble, and the voice is set well back, creating a cavernous effect that sucks you in. But I can't say that this is a great album; there's a crippling lack of ambition or vision here. Just, you know, beery and grimy heavy metal. The lack of pretention is as appealing as the lack of ambition is crippling. My jury is split.

The cassette sounds great; nice packaging and good dynamic range

the version sold by amazon does not contain embroidered patches.

Great album; unfortunately my black vinyl copy has the labels reversed (side A label is on side B and vice versa).
