AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL TERRIBLE DISGUSTING BAD SHITTY PRESSING.
I mirror the sentiments below. It sounds like a badly dubbed cassette. It even cuts out of the left channel numerous times.
Utter garbage pressing. -

Very compressed. It's such a great album it deserves better. -

Very flat pressing, and pretty sure that the recording is mangled on a couple of spots. I've found a better copy than this so hopefully that will be a better experience. So sad for one of my fav albums. -

I’m pretty sure this is the worst sounding album I own. This or a horrible pressing of Smash by the Offspring I bought against my better judgement -

How ironic is it I spent so much money on a transparent edition of this album 3 weeks before this version? This version is so much more mastered and crystal clear. Music on vinyl never lets me down.

First off this album is pretty solid and is a good precursor to how our lady peace as a band sealed their fate that would go on and continue to have many hits and an enjoyable full album experience. Reasons to own this album, Starseed, Hope, Denied, Is It Safe, Julia. As for the clear vinyl edition side A and B have a couple pops in the beginning of the first song on each side, aside from that it sounds quite amazing. Maracas can be heard clearly in Supersatellite as well as individual Tom skin hits, The ramp up to the end of starseed is something I never noticed before and is really overpowering in a good way. More maracas, very clear strumming and basslines very noticeable in the song Naveed, with singular bass in the breakdown segment is something very different than the cd version but not changed. Dirty walls though not a fan favorite is growing on me more every time I hear it, on vinyl the ever present welcoming bassline, symbol crashes and toms make it catchy and of course cool lyrics "This conversation is going nowhere, It's transparent as fuck, Must be over cause all I see is mud...Dirty walls". I have noticed there is always on each album a sad song, a party anthem, an addiction song, one with anger and or another with breakup, relationship and a girl he once knew. This album definitely started that trend with the lonely and maddening song of Denied and the vocals on this vinyl edition as well as the guitar riffs echo out and reach the depths of their meaning effortlessly and a great semi conductor to the following song "is it safe". On said song, the drums hits and symbols are much more proper on the LP but not really my favorite song. If you get the chance to hear or own "Julia" in the acoustic version I highly recommend it as though this is a good song, not as good as the live slower version. I paid too much for this record to say I am satisfied overall as it has a bowl effect defect, plays fine but again...it wasn't cheap...not even reasonable.

This is hands down one of the worst pressings I've ever heard. There's no life in the recordings anymore. To my ears it sounded like a badly recorded cassette copy. "Clumsy" doesn't fare much better, it's not as lifeless but it also doesn't ascend to where it should be. Will stick with the CDs for now unfortunately.
