Fascinating Rhythm. TCHOOOOON. William Orbit's nascent talents on display. Relive the 90s. -
I love this short-lived project of WØ! First album is definitely superior to the follow up. But even that one has some great tracks (Go Getta Nutha Man + Mountain High). Remixes were all solid. Odd that he’s embarrassed by this… -
Tragically ignored and underrated and even William Orbit himself claims he is embarrassed by Bassomatic productions. For me, this was a watershed record that sounds quite dated now but still brings a smile and a million memories attached to it. Would love to see a remastered reissue across 3 LPs. Set The Controls For The Heart of The Bass is deep techy goodness. With its lunar and sci-fi samples from 'Star Trek' and 'Lost in Space' it would be hard to clear but well worth it....
