Pioneer Greek label founded in December 1968 by Odeon.
The name "Minos" was given to the label as a tribute to Makis Matsas' father, Μίνως Μάτσας.
The label's first release was the album Ο Σταθμός that bore the cat# MSM 101.

In October 1990, the Greek EMI branch purchased the majority share of Minos Matsas & Son Company, forming a new company, Minos-EMI S.A.
Many releases after that date bear only the Minos logo and belong under this profile.
