"Vsesoyuznaja Studija Gramzapisi" (translated as "All-Union recording studio") was founded on November 5, 1957 in Moscow, USSR, and started as a label, but was also a recording studio and occassionaly a record pressings plant. The Logo of the pre-Мелодия plant reads "ВСГ" ("VSG"), which has been used on its releases along with the full title.
On July 1964 "VSG" was ed with the "All-Union Melodiya record firm" Мелодия) along with "Vsesoyuznaja Studija Gramzapisi" (Всесоюзная Студия Грамзаписи) in text on the record label.
Note of company/plant in capital letters on records: ВСЕСОЮЗНАЯ СТУДИЯ ГРАМЗАПИСИ.
In 1978 the pressing equipment was transferred to the just built Московский Опытный Завод «Грамзапись» (or short MOZG) record plant.
