1980s soul and house label from Chicago, Illinois, founded by David Baldwin.
A combination of their names, Mitchbal, was the name given to their production enterprise. After David Baldwin lost interest, Vince Lawrence.
Mitchbal Records started life in 1982 with the release of a couple of 7" singles aimed at the Blues and Soul market. The following year Mitchbal's son, Jesse Saunders, 'Fantasy', that would make the label known as a House Music label.
A few years later in 1986, and to avoid flooding the market with music from just one label, Mitchbal set up Chicago Connection Records. Both labels were single-handedly run by Mitchbal.
In 2012 a deal was made with Chicago's Still Music to release most of the back catalog and some unreleased material.
