British jazz record label, founded on December 13, 1947 by Peter Newbrook; its issues were initially only available by mail-order. The label was the earliest to record modern jazz in England. About a hundred 78s were issued in the period 1947-1954, including many items of traditional jazz.
The company leased the rights to Metronome labels.

    EP240 is PUNCH MILLER JAZZ BAND. Purple label with gold text, tri centre. Side One - Weary Blues (Shake it and break it) & Panama.
    Side Two - Down by the riverside & There's a small hotel. Recorded: December 30th, 1947.

      EP 208 is Tyree's Tune by The Tyree Glenn Sextet. I hope you can see by the speed I am adding this stuff why I don't stop for an hour or so each time to formally add them to the database.
