Thin Wrist Recordings

Profile:

Thin Wrist Recordings is an American independent record label based in Los Angeles, California, and launched in 1999 by experimental guitarist Black Colors 3x12" in 2013. Eventually, the Thin Wrist roster expanded beyond Peter's direct associates, now covering a broader scope of artists "pushing the bounds of musical forms." The label lists 24 albums in the catalog with alphabetized catalog numbers (excluding deleted positions and limited edition offerings).

Thin Wrist originally released music mostly on vinyl, with occasional CD-R and cassette limited editions. In 2002, Kolovos also began producing factory-pressed CDs, starting with The Birth Of Cruel. Since then, some releases have been available as CD/LP pressings, and Thin Wrist produced a few limited edition tapes and 10" acetates.

In Spring 2014, Peter Kolovos began working with P.S.F. Records in Japan. Subsequently, Kolovos established Black Editions Group company with all three labels as its subsidiaries, serving as the Creative and Production Director. Lowenthal is responsible for Sales Distribution and Promotions and remains VDSQ's creative director.
