The national Danish recording company Dacapo was founded as "Dacapo/selskabet til udgivelse af dansk musik fonogram og videogram" in 1989 as an independent institution under the Danish Music Council. Official company name since 08.04.2015: Dacapo Edition-S. For the label, please use Dacapo (4).
Although the objects clause of the company allows for the production of both video and printed music, the company’s production so far has concentrated on the recording and releasing of CDs.
