Please only use this profile if the release credits "EMI UK" specifically, either printed on the sleeve or found in the matrix of a CD.
In the matrix string of CDs glass mastered by EMI UK the capital letter U appears slightly smaller than the other letters. This effect also appears in the matrix strings of CDs glass mastered by CDP UK Ltd.. The smaller letter does however represent a capital letter U, and the matrix string should be entered as EMI UK.
• EMI UK appearing in the matrix area of a CD refers to the former EMI Swindon. This plant closed in 2002, and EMI UK only started appearing in 2000; earlier pressings usually have EMI SWINDON printed in the matrix.
• EMI UK printed in publishing or other company credits refers to another entity such as EMI Music, etc., but do not guess at what was meant; just use EMI UK to match what is credited on the release.
