prices are a soap bubble and are insane. These records are not worth the asking price of a lot of scalpers.

This repress series has really done a top notch job! The tracks taken from releases left and right where they could still find the old masters. Some unfortunately got lost in numerous ways along the years. There's some tracks which will probably never see the light of day again. I find the sound is good enough, even though originals sometimes do 'feel warmer and deeper'. It's still going to get the crowd moving and complement your mix having these tunes in m imho.
At this time there are a lot of other labels popping up and repressing Network 23 tunes. Scour the Discogs, or the rest of the net, and behold your opportunities to obtain some wicked beats on the black gold!
That said, I've always found it odd they pressed release 24. Sort of takes the magic away from the whole label name and the magical number Spiral Tribe had incorporated. (Still haven't bought #24, unsure if I ever will.. :)) -
we need ntw23rp016 reissue, price is thru the roof and from all the vinyls I have, I scratched this one really badly :((((( Also some curley music is totally sold out and price rising. And whats more, reissue more tracks, there are still many un-repressed SP23 tracks and I want them for normal price, not the 100EUR worn and washed out vinyls the shady dealers are offering!

Edited 14 years agoThe original analog mastering is much warmer and deeper, dynamics and sounds in the background are much more alive.
It's the same problem with the "Curley Music" (curley repress)
Digital's limits are re-transcription of the magnificent "perfect imperfection" from analog sound
