Formed in April 1972, when it was announced the Hainick Group, a group of investors headed by Henry W. Hainick, purchased Philips Recording Company, Inc. along with Dubbings Electronics in Copiague, Louisiana and Plastic Ware, Inc., Bronx, N.Y. from Norelco. Philips Recording Company, Inc. was renamed PRC Recording Company with the change in ownership and a sister plant was opened Compton, CA in 1975. Richmond Recording Corporation filed as a foreign for profit corporation in December 1972. |
