Nashville-based alt-country boutique label which operated from 2001 to approx. 2012.
The label was started in 2001 by Mercury.
For the next ten years the Universal Music Group subsidiary became the home of singer/songwriter-oriented artists such as Willie Nelson.
The label's most successful release was the multi-platinum soundtrack, Various - O Brother, Where Art Thou? (Music From The Motion Picture).
Lost Highway officially returned with its first new release since 2012 with Ringo Starr’s Look Up album on Jan. 10, 2025.
