CIDIS, Antony

Profile:

Phonogram, Antony.
The plant manufactured & shipped 100,000 record and cassette units per day in the '70s, with 500 employees in 1972.
Active under CIDIS, Antony in this case

From 1975, most LPs with 'Made in ' on labels and 'CIDIS' in runouts have that same pressing ring or black bare vinyl 20mm center ring
For now, there is no way to know if they were pressed in Antony or by sister plant C.I.D.I.S. in those cases.

The LP matrix often features "LPL 1Y / 2Y" identifying the format, as well as 3 characters in the runouts identifying the customer, for instance (this list is not exhaustive) ALA = Albatros, ARI = Arion, ATL = Atlantic, BAR = Barclay, CAR = Carrère, CBS = CBS, CHR = Chrysalis, COC = Cosmic Music, DEL = Delphine, ELE = Elektra, ERA = Erato, FON = Fontana, ISL = Island, HUN = Hungaroton, MER = Mercury, PER = Pergola, PHI = Philips, POL = Polydor, RIE = Riviera, VER = Vertigo, VEV = Verve, VIR = Virgin, WAR = Warner Bros, etc...
"LPL 1Y / 2Y" and those 3 characters are not typical of Antony, they can also be found on LP pressings of the sister plant C.I.D.I.S. Louviers.

There is 'CIDIS' in runouts from 1974 but earlier releases have not always this mention.

CIDIS, Antony only pressed 12" LPs (no 7", 10", etc.) and didn't provide any mastering and cutting. All LPs with 380 in the runouts were lacquer cut at Polygram Industries Messageries officially on January 1st, 1979 (but the name was yet in use on sleeves in 1978 and CIDIS name was still in runouts of releases issued up to early 80s).
